The website switch (HTML, CSS and JS -> Astro)
What happened to this website?
So, the reason why this site looks cool but vibecoded, its because I wanted to update my portfolio, it was feeling, bland.. Like, very very bland. And, to resolve this issue, a few months back, i feel victim to react, which was awesome to see, finally alive websites i was making. But, there was still one site i had to update… My portfolio..
So, what I did was ask my trusty AI agent, “Claude Code”, to rewrite it in Astro for me (Don’t worry, I mostly understood the code it was making) and it went with a banger. It also recommended Astro blog template for blogs, which was nice; but anyways.
I checked the info of the generated site (cuz i told it to use its memory and chat conversation context) and it did mistakes, so when this blog post releases, all of those mistakes should be gone.
The old portfolio is available at old.lamps-dev.dev however.
This section may be a bit unrelated but I still had to include it.
Why, vibecode almost everything?
One reason: I want to code but I cant think of anything/I can’t code it properly.
I almost always needed AI help, even tho I like coding and know somewhat coding, I don’t know it that much to code that much. I mean, I still understand some of the code AI generates by not reading from the summary of the output.
And since I like coding, but can’t really do so, well this is practically the only option I can take. I still know a bit of coding to the point I can code like a Python scrapper myself without AI and only docs, or even code bad apple in the terminal without much AI help. But yeah, thats the reason.
On a positive note though, I atleast refactored my entire website nicely, with some AI help.
